Cut x Sewn was founded in January 2015 by Ryan Henry and Nick London as a fashion blog. About a month in, the two creators decided it was time to explore new art forms and take a different path. In May 2015, Nick left the magazine to pursue other things leaving Ryan in charge of building and expanding the magazine to reach new heights. Since then, Ryan has grown the magazine and will continue to do so with his increasing team who also share the same vision.
The focus of CXS is the artists. Everyday, talent is being slept on. Our job is to take those slept on artists and give them the spotlight, putting eyes on them from around the world. Despite our love for slept on artists, we also show love to those who have a larger following as well, and to those who have been in the game for a while. Whether you’re a musical artist, fashion designer, filmmaker, author, dancer; we’d love to shine the light on you and your craft so that you may inspire others.
In the first 3 and a half months of CXS’s launch, the magazine amassed over 50,000 hits and a global audience. 77% of CXS’s viewers are in America, while the other 33% are located in countries like Canada, the UK, France, Australia, Germany, South Africa, and many more. These numbers are growing everyday.
