Virgil Abloh showcased Off-White’s Fall 2016 ready-to-wear collection in Paris for Fashion Week. The show began with a long sleeved, slightly revealing turtleneck with the small yet bold word “OFF” near the collar bone area, paired with very appealingly tailored and colored trousers. Similar turtlenecks are included throughout the collection, as well as peculiarly worn blazers/trench coats, metallic waist bags, and deconstructed garments. Included among certain looks are the subtle blue words – “A Pretty Woman”. Abloh incorporated one of Giorgio de Chirico’s paintings as a dress and skirt, displaying knowledge of notable neoclassical artists. Overall the collection can be thought as slightly avant garde, effortless yet formal in a way, and indeed in the realm of what Off-White is known for.
